#Thewaterfight

Around the world, 1 in 10 children don’t have clean water close to home and 1 in 3 don’t have a decent toilet. They are vulnerable to deadly diseases caused by drinking dirty water and defecating in the open. 289,000 children under-five die every year from diarrheal diseases caused by dirty water and poor sanitation. That's almost 800 children a day, or one child every two minutes. And the problem doesn’t end when they get to school. Only 3 in 10 schools in the world have clean water, and just 1 in 3 have decent toilets. This exposes millions of children to deadly diseases and denies them a happy, dignified childhood.

I am proud to be an ambassador with WaterAid Canada to help all children have access to clean water and have the oppuetunity to chase their dreams.

Haley is an incredibly committed and effective ambassador for WaterAid and for Canada. She tackles her role with enthusiasm, grace and professionalism. We are so delighted and privileged to have her represent our organization and help raise awareness of the millions of people around the world without clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene.
